The Course...Daily three-hour lessons will teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Instruction will be geared to your level, whether it be beginning or advanced. We will work together to improve your pronunciation and vocabulary. You will practice speaking daily with your fellow students, your instructor, and the people of Frankfort. We will read the local newspaper, listen to local news broadcasts, and practice writing post cards home in English. You will be exposed to slang terms, as well as the best diplomatic and business English. In addition to formal classes, you will receive personal attention from your instructor daily. Enrollment is limited to a minimum of two and a maximum of 8 students per course.
Bill Gittlen, the course director, is an emergency physician and certified ESL instructor who has traveled throughout the world. He is a Cambridge RSA-certified teacher, having graduated from San Francisco's English International Academy.
